TekRevol partnered up with the client to build an online B2C one-stop shop empowering people to book their favorite barbers and beauticians from the comfort of their homes.
The Concept Behind MoCuts Pro
The client wanted to gather barbers and beauticians on a single online platform to help people book the slots online according to their schedule and get a haircut and other related services in their homes.
The concept behind this on-demand barber service app is to eliminate the need to go to salons and wait for your turn. All the barbers and beauticians on MoCuts Pro must register and get verified by the platform. At the same time, the buyers need to sign up and create a user profile to start ordering services.
Challenges & Solutions
The client had this vision to build an on-demand barber service booking app where both buyers and sellers can create their profiles and benefit from features like in-app messaging, live tracking, ratings and reviews, and one-click payment options. For this, we had to create two separate versions of MoCuts Pro. One is for the users to hire barbers and beauticians, and the other is for barbers and service providers to create their profiles, receive or cancel orders, perform transactions from the app to their wallets, maintain their profiles, etc.
Platform Features
- We then had to integrate both app versions into the client's dashboard, where they could administer all the activities on their platform and add or remove users and service providers violating the platform's policies.
- The client also wanted to add the live tracking feature, where users could track the service provider's location and estimate arrival time using GPS.
- Simply put, the client wanted an Uber-like on-demand application for salon services with all the advanced features that enable consumers to order services from the comfort of their homes seamlessly.
- We started the project by creating wireframes and delivered a prototype for approval. After getting the go-ahead from the client, we proceeded with development and API integration and completed both Android and iOS versions of the app for launch and deployment.

Live Tracking through GPS
MoCuts Pro enables customers to track the live location of service providers through GPS. This feature helps customers search for nearby service providers through GPS and gives them an estimated arrival time using advanced algorithms once they book any service.
Online Payment Integration
As people prefer debit cards and e-wallets for purchasing products and services online, our client wanted to integrate one-click online payment gateways. People can add debit cards or link e-wallets and perform seamless in-app transactions to pay service providers.
In-App Messaging & Calling
MoCuts Pro has in-app messaging and calling features to enhance customer experience. This feature enables customers to communicate with the service providers without sharing their contact details. Customers can also access the schedules of barbers and beauticians and book their slots accordingly.
